Originally founded as endeavOR, our organization was born from a need for community among New Mexico’s outdoor professionals. As our industry has grown into a multi-billion dollar economic driver for the state, our mission has evolved. Our mission is to be a balanced and unified voice for all New Mexico outdoor recreation businesses and organizations positively contributing to the outdoor economy.

We aim to give back more to our members than we receive from them, and to advocate for programs and policies that directly benefit the OR businesses in the state.

Tavis Malcolm

A Shark Tank alumnus and founder of Morrison Outdoors, Tavis Malcolm scaled a garage startup into a national brand carried at REI. Now, he leverages his experience to lead NMORBA’s push for policies and programs that support the makers, retailers, and guides defining the Land of Enchantment.
